Science VS Samsung

We’ve said for so many times that technology has helped us in so many ways and on so many levels.
Phones have become like mini computers and it seems like there is nothing wrong we can say about the latest mobile phones, well expect maybe one thing – battery.
Customers have been complaining for so many years how their battery cannot last too long which is really necessary sometimes.
So that’s why some companies have decided to put that “problem” on their to-do list in order to change something about it.

One of them is Samsung who now claims to have created a battery that could keep our phones “alive” for 80% longer.
While many people were thrilled about it, some scientists are trying to prove them wrong because they are very skeptical about this fact.
John Goodenough who is a professor of mechanical engineering doesn’t see that news as something new or even as a breakthrough. He may be right, because after all, he did invent the lithium-ion battery.

Since lithium-ion battery simply doesn’t work like the silicone ones, team from Samsung decided to coat the silicon in grapheme.
Jang Wook Choi who is a study co-author said that their plan was to grow something that was not exactly as graphite, but still very similar to it.
His team has discovered that after two hundred cycles of charging (which means when your battery is completely drained and then gets recharged again) that battery lasted around 1.5 times longer than the typical lithium-ion batteries.

Jang Wook Choi thinks that his plan of making a long-lasting battery will definitely work, even though some people are still skeptical about it.
